Structure of the zipper
December 02, 2019
The construction of a small zipper is actually very complicated:
1. tape: a flexible tape woven from cotton yarn, chemical fiber or mixed chemical fiber, used to carry chain elements and other zipper components;
2. bead: The edge of the cloth belt is used to carry the reinforcing part of the metal or plastic element;
3. rope: refers to a rope made of multiple fibers in the middle of the rib;
4. scoops: refers to teeth that have a certain shape after processing, such as metal and plastic;
5. filler cord: a cord made from multiple strands of fiber for the production of nylon zipper fastener chains;
6. chain: refers to teeth arranged continuously;
7. one side zipper chain: the tooth chain is fixed on the cloth tape and is called the tooth chain belt;
8. zipper chain: a chain belt that is meshed by two tooth chain belts;
9. top stop: a stopper that is fixed on the toothed belt and stops the slider from sliding out of the toothed belt when the toothed chain is closed;
10.bottom stop: It is a stopper that is fixed on the chain belt and limits the slider to slide out of the chain belt when the chain is pulled apart, so that the two side belts cannot be completely separated
11. Back & forth head tape: The tape without the element on the zipper is called the lead, the top end is the front lead, and the bottom end is the rear lead;
12. pin separable: fixed at the tail end of the open zipper, used to completely separate the tubular pieces of the chain;
13. box retainer (should be pin box): fixed at the end of the open zipper, used to completely separate the square pieces of the chain;
14. two pin: a tube-shaped stopper used with a double-ended tail zipper in cooperation with an intubation tube;
15. strengthened tape: a composite sheet used to enhance the strength of the intubation, socket and cloth, and improve the service life of the zipper;
16. slider: the moving part that engages and pulls the fastener element apart;
17. puller: It is a component of the slider, which can be designed to be connected to the slider body with various geometric shapes or to the slider body through the middleware to achieve zipper opening and closing;
18. the connecter: an intermediate element connecting the slider body and the slider.
