Notes on coil zipper

The cross-wise strength of color combination of coil zippers is not so strong as that of the regular zippers, although they could lend a decorative and stylish touch to the items they are sewn onto. This lies in the fact that their teeth elements will feature less softness following the dyeing process and single-side double stich sewing is not feasible, which results in weaker cross-wise strength. Additionally, their sewing threads are susceptible to bending.

Therefore, color combination of coil zippers are only recommended for the apparel industry at the moment, perfect for installation on such items as the plackets, pockets, etc. that require aesthetic appeal. They are not appropriate for those items that are subject to strong cross-wise strength, like shoes, boots, trousers, just to name a few.

When using this zipper, please pay attention to the following issues.

Color combination of coil zippers should be coupled with spray painted sliders, just like reflective coil zippers.

Don’t spray such chemical agents that are used for removing oil stain, rust and dirt in the manufacturing process of the garments directly onto the metal components. This can protect the metal accessories from oxidation and discoloration.

Don’t package the products immediately after they are ironed. Let them dry completely.
Keep the plastic bags as breathable as possible to prevent the accumulation of water vapour or gases. This can protect the metal components against oxidation and discoloration.
Avoid both the corrosive (acid/alkaline) and damp environment.
Avoid long-time exposure to strong sunlight.
