A pants hook

A pants hook is a closure used on pants, or trousers, especially when looking for a cleaner look as opposed to buttons. Commonly referred to as a “hook and bar” closure, it is a popular choice for tailored garments like skirts and pants.

There are many types of pants hooks, and they range from eye and hook, metal skirt hook, custom trouser hook, stainless steel pants hook and eye, and others. They all depend on the garment and the design that the client or tailor are going for.

There are many different applications for pants hooks, again depending on the end product the client is looking for, the type of pants hooks used, and also the tailoring technique that will be applied. Remember that pants hooks are used to achieve a more minimal look, and is also preferred because it is a much secure fastening .It is used to fasten the waistband around garments too.

Small internal buttons can be used in this setup, mainly to make the hook more secure. It must be placed in an accurate position so that the hook and bar can fit correctly. It must take the strain of the waistband to create a more seamless look for the hook and bar.
